German kitchen manufacturer: bankruptcy after power failure
rational fitted kitchens solutions GmbH had to file for bankruptcy after almost 60 years of successful existence. The reason: a total failure of the essential server systems.
The German kitchen manufacturer “rational einbauküchen solutions GmbH” from Melle near Osnabrück in Lower Saxony, founded in 1963, had to learn the hard way how important the fail-safety of its own IT systems is. A power outage resulted in the loss of essential business data. Since it is not possible to save the data concerned, at least in the short term, an application for insolvency money pre-financing at the Employment Agency and an open investor process are unavoidable.
The company, which received the German Brand Award for the third time in 2022, currently has 64 employees. Orders came from all over the world: the kitchen manufacturer had projects in around 50 countries, including Qatar and Dubai.
“The situation is extremely stressful for everyone involved, especially customers and employees. But we will do everything we can to find solutions for our company together with the provisional insolvency administrator. We are in contact with our customers and will continue to do so inform about the developments.” (Mano Bakhtiari, Managing Director of rational fitted kitchens solutions GmbH)
